The Mesapolis project is a unique agglomeration of nine multifunctional elements. Each element serves dual purposes, with a primary function as side table tops. The other utilities vary per element, offering a range of functions from hiding sweets' urns and boxes to supporting trays and plates. Some elements even light up or burn incenses, adding a touch of mystique and functionality to any space.
Abou Arraj's inspiration for Mesapolis stems from a sun that's still and never sets, floating planes, and a silent drum. These elements masquerade as table sets, embedding secrets and creating a skyline of silhouettes that remind the designer of her roots.
Mesapolis stands out for its unique properties and strengths. The design lines hint at old cities and mysterious archways familiar to the designer, creating a sense of nostalgia while serving practical purposes. The multifunctional design elements, combined with the aesthetic appeal, make Mesapolis a unique addition to any interior space.
The Mesapolis collection is crafted from wood, brass, and glass, materials known for their durability and aesthetic appeal. The various dimensions of the elements add to the versatility of the design, making it adaptable to different spaces and uses.
The Iron A' Furniture Design Award recognizes well-designed, practical, and innovative creations that meet professional and industrial requirements. Mesapolis, with its integration of industry best practices and competent technical characteristics, provides fulfillment and positive feelings, contributing to a better world. This award is a testament to Rita Abou Arraj's innovative design approach and her ability to create functional yet aesthetically pleasing pieces.
